Grand Hyatt's Grissini

When Stanley KC’s design team overtook the renovation project of Grissini at Grand Hyatt, they breathed fresh, modern design into a classical institution. Wanting to find ways to ‘activate’ the classic arches of the restaurant, so function could be added to form, Stanley considered the guests' experience as soon as they entered the restaurant, and conscientiously introduced a large kitchen island with the oven baking fresh grissini. Originally, the bar was tucked behind the arches so it seemingly disappeared, but by converting the bar area into the open kitchen, the design team could integrate the kitchen around the arches, bringing them back to become the central focus of the space. Lighting solutions and beautiful pendant lights add warmth and intimacy to the Italian eatery.
