The Hampstead Reach
2,500 SQFT, Residential, Hong Kong
This project was inspired by Lake Como, where on one of his trips, Stanley Kwok noticed many interesting details, and wanted to recreate such an ambience for this home. Particularly, this included the combination of luxe textures - dark walnut wood, travertine stone walls and colour hues in beige and dark red. The layout of this project is long and narrow with a big staircase in the middle, therefore the design team created a timber screen to hide the staircase and also function as the backdrop of the dining space. As well, they took advantage of the underside of the staircase, and turned this into a functional bar. The piece de resistance in the dining area is a light by Giopato and Coombes, which makes a statement.
